J.R Newbould & Sons are based in Church Street, Esher Surrey. Established in 1942 by watchmaker John Reginald Newbould. Today, it is still an independent family-run jewellery business; the Newbould family are able to offer their clients a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the jewellery business.

The business is very much a family affair and has been a feature in Esher since 1942, when John Reginald Newbould, a watchmaker, setup shop.

Hans is a skilled diamond mounter and makes all the unique and beautiful diamond jewellery in the shop.

The jewellers is now run by his son Michael, who has worked there for more than 50 years. Together with his wife, Jutta, and his son, Hans, Michael has attracted customers from near and far. Each member of the family team brings his or her own skills and knowledge to the enterprise.

With two generations before him working at the shop, Hans developed a n interest in the business early on. After aquiring his City & Guilds and advanced City & Guilds in Diamond Mounting, he embarked on a five year apprenticeship and then a further two years improvement.
